To broaden children’s life experiences and independent growth, our school has designed a “Life Skills Class: Outdoor Cooking” for K3 students, turning nature into their classroom. Together with professional instructors from Messy Maker, from January 5 to January 7, we guided the K3 students to Plover Cove Country Park to experience wilderness cooking. They learned how to handle ingredients, create and use simple outdoor cooking tools. The children engaged in hands-on activities such as preparing firewood, making stick bread, cooking “Beggar’s Chicken Wings” and grilling vegetable skewers. Through these tasks, they challenged themselves, learned to cooperate with others, and developed team spirit.
